    Directions

    The closest airport to the University of Michigan is Detroit Metro (DTW), about 30 minutes away.

    From Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), terminal or car rental: take I-94 west towards Chicago about 20 miles. Exit onto US-23 north towards Flint. Take the Washtenaw Ave. exit (#37B) towards Ann Arbor. After about 3 miles, you will pass stop lights at Forest/Observatory and then at Geddes. The next stop light is Palmer Dr. As you turn left onto Palmer Dr., Palmer Commons will be on your right.

    From the Dahlmann Campus Inn, 615 E. Huron Street, Ann Arbor, (800) 666-8693: exit the parking lot onto State St. Turn left onto Huron, going east. After about 1/2 mile, Huron curves around to the right and becomes Washtenaw Ave. The first stop light after the curve is Palmer Dr. Turn right onto Palmer Dr. As you turn right, Palmer Commons will be on the right.

    From the Microtel Inn and Suites, 3610 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, (734) 997-9100: exit the parking lot turning left onto Plymouth. Proceed about 2.5 miles on Plymouth. Turn left onto Maiden Lane. After about 1/2 mile, turn right onto Fuller. Fuller soon becomes Glen — stay on Glen. Turn left onto Huron at the T-intersection. Huron soon curves around to the right and becomes Washtenaw Ave. The first stop light after the curve is Palmer Dr. Turn right onto Palmer Dr. As you turn right, Palmer Commons will be on the right.

    From Chicago/southwest Michigan: exit I-94 at Jackson Rd. just before the city of Ann Arbor, traveling east. After about 1 mile, Jackson turns into Huron. After about another 1.5 miles, Huron curves around to the right and becomes Washtenaw Ave. The first stop light after the curve is Palmer Dr. Turn right onto Palmer Dr. As you turn right, Palmer Commons will be on the right.

    From Toledo: exit US-23 at Washtenaw Ave. (exit #37B) traveling west towards Ann Arbor. After about 3 miles, you will pass stop lights at Forest/Observatory and then at Geddes. The next stop light is Palmer Dr. As you turn left onto Palmer Dr., Palmer Commons will be on your right.

    From northern Michigan: exit US-23 at Plymouth Rd. traveling west towards Ann Arbor. Proceed about 2.5 miles on Plymouth. Turn left onto Maiden Lane. After about 1/2 mile, turn right onto Fuller.     Parking

    When you turn onto Palmer Dr., continue past the first parking entrance (staff only) to the next entrance (marked on the right side of the street by a red visitor parking sign). This will be towards the end of Palmer Dr. Turn left into the Palmer parking structure, and proceed down and to the left. Park close to the elevator in the northeast corner of the structure. Take the elevator or stairs to the P2 level and Palmer Commons will be directly across the street when you exit. The lab is on the second floor of Palmer Commons, room 2035.
